A woman with a child on her back serves two travellers who have stopped for sustenance at a roadside stall near Mariko in Suruga province. A third traveller sets off with a pipe in his mouth, his hat and raincoat hanging from a stick over his shoulder. This is the second state of this print, where the misspelling of the name of the station in the first state was corrected from Maruko (丸子) to Mariko (鞠子).
